AdBoard System
The AdBoard System is a revolutionary new set of tools for both advertisers and publishers. The AdBoard is an indispensable gadget for land owners, offering advertising space that displays a texture and dispenses a landmark, for rates you set.
Renters are given 2 payment options (see Bid/Rent System) and once they have paid may choose to use the AdBoard either:
- offline by dropping in their Landmark and Texture
- or online by dropping in the address of their AdServer
The online capabilities of the AdBoard means that it can be used in conjunction with an AdServer, allowing renters to update their ads across the SecondLife Grid quickly and easily. Or, use the AdServer for maintaining your own ads across SL and watch them update in Seconds!
AdBoard Features
Creating a new revenue source has never been asier. The Catalyst AdBoard is available in a variety of different styles to suit your needs, and each is loaded with the following features
- Offline/Online Capabilities
- Owner can set Rental Prices [limited ability in Commission Version]
- Owner can set Rental Period [limited ability in Commission Version]
- Edit-enabled Rent Info Card [Full Revenue Version only]
- "Unrentable" state for self promotion and finely tuned marketing campaigns [Full Revenue Version only]
Bid/Rent System
The AdBoards are equipped to accept 2 types of rentas. Possible renters can choose to either:
- BID on the AdBoard -- allowing them to use the board until they are either outbidded, or the rental period expires.
or
- RENT the AdBoard -- meaning nobody can outbid them and giving them exclusive rights to use the AdBoard until the rental period has expired.
AdServer Features
The AdServer is a small but robust tool. Its simple 1 prim design means the power it has to offer your marketing campaign is a viable solution for owners and renters alike. Manage your AdBoard displays and landmarks with Streamed Simplicity from your AdServer.
Simply drop your landmark and Texture into the AdServer, and watch it roll out across the Second Life grid to all linked AdBoards within seconds.
